-Standard Eligibility Check $ 1.00 (instant approval for individuals who are in the CFARS Database)
-Basic Eligibility Check $19.00 (approval in 7-10 days for those individuals who are not in the CFARS Database)

Take your California Firearm Safety Certification Test and get your certificate of completion.
Note: CA Firearm Safety Certificate is required for all non-exempt firearm purchases in the state of California. This certificate is good for 5 years.

Usually this appointment is scheduled in person when you came in to begin the DROS process on your firearm purchase or transfer. Pending approval, your gun can be picked up 10 days (ten 24-hour periods) after submitting your DROS to the CA DOJ.
